Asok Ray earned the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Northeastern University, Boston, MA in 1976, and also graduate degrees in each of the disciplines of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science. Dr. Ray joined the Pennsylvania State University in July 1985, and is currently a Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Mathematics, a Graduate Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and a Graduate Faculty of Nuclear Engineering. Minghui Zhu is an Associate Professor in the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the Pennsylvania State University. Prior to joining Penn State in 2013, he was a postdoctoral associate in the Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He received Ph.D. in Engineering Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of California, San Diego in 2011. His research interests lie in distributed control and decision-making of multi-agent networks with applications in robotic networks, security and the smart grid. He is the co-author of the book "Distributed optimization-based control of multi-agent networks in complex environments" (Springer, 2015). He is a recipient of the award of Outstanding Graduate Student of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at UCSD in 2011, the Dorothy Quiggle Career Development Professorship in Engineering at Penn State in 2013, the award of Outstanding Reviewer of Automatica in 2013 and 2014, and the National Science Foundation CAREER award in 2019. Thomas A. Wettergren received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and the Ph.D. degree in applied mathematics from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, NY, USA. He joined the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Newport, RI, USA, in 1995, where he has served as a Research Scientist with the Departments of Torpedo Systems, Sonar Systems, and Undersea Combat Systems. He currently serves as the U.S. Navy Senior Technologist for Operational and Information Science as well as a Senior Research Scientist with the Newport Laboratory, Worthington, MN, USA.
